1. Who we are & what this covers
AI Seller Copilot ("we", "us") is the controller responsible for your personal data when you use our website at aisellercopilot.com and the AI Seller Copilot browser extension (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies alongside our Terms of Service and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
2. Information we collect
a. Information you provide
- Account data: name, email address, and password (stored as a hash) when you register; and any preferences you set (such as UI language and model configuration).
- Support data: anything you include when you contact us (e.g., account email, screenshots, transaction IDs).
b. Information created when you use the Service
- Usage & quota data: the number of AI generations you use per day, plan, and subscription status, so we can enforce quotas and show your dashboard.
- Technical data: basic information such as browser type and extension version, for stability and compatibility.
c. Billing data handled by PayPal
Payments are processed by PayPal. We do not see or store your full card or bank details. We receive only the limited information PayPal shares with merchants (such as a transaction ID and payer email) for order reconciliation. PayPal's processing is governed by its own Privacy Policy.
3. What the extension reads on Amazon
The extension is designed to read only the Amazon.com pages you actively open. When you run an analysis, it reads the public content of that page (title, price, BSR, listing copy, and visible reviews) in your browser to produce the insight you requested.
- We do not collect or store your Amazon login credentials. We do not ask for them and have no access to your Amazon seller account.
- We do not operate in the background when you browse other sites. The extension is scoped to Amazon pages.
- The page content read is processed to deliver your requested result and is not retained by us as a permanent dataset.
4. How AI model providers are involved
To generate analysis and text, the content you ask us to process (for example, the page content of an Amazon listing) is sent to a large-language-model provider. This may be our default model provider or, if you connect your own (e.g., OpenAI, DeepSeek, Azure, or a custom endpoint), it is sent directly to that provider under your own configuration. We use reasonable efforts to send only what is needed to fulfill your request.
If you use your own LLM configuration, your API key is stored locally in your browser for your use and is not transmitted to us. We recommend you review the privacy terms of whichever model provider you choose.
5. How we use information
- To provide the Service — running your analyses, enforcing quotas, and managing your subscription;
- To process payments and reconcile orders (with PayPal);
- To provide account, billing, and technical support;
- To maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations;
- To improve the Service, in aggregate or anonymized form where possible.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use it to train models that we then offer to others.
6. Sharing & third parties
We share personal data only as necessary to operate the Service or as required by law:
- PayPal — for payment processing and fraud screening;
- AI model providers — to process the content you submit (see §4);
- Infrastructure providers — such as cloud hosting used to run the Service;
- Legal authorities — where required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
We do not share your data for third-party advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Cookies & local storage
The website uses minimal storage — primarily a session identifier so you stay logged in. The browser extension uses local storage to remember your preferences, quota state, and (if you set it) your LLM configuration. You can clear local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings.
8. Data retention
We keep account and billing data for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterward to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements (for example, transaction records are typically kept for the period required by tax law). Usage data is retained in aggregate or anonymized form for product improvement, or deleted sooner where practical.
9. Security
We apply industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:
- Access — to know what data we hold about you;
- Rectification — to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Deletion — to request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations;
- Objection / restriction — to object to or limit certain processing;
- Data portability — to receive a copy of your data in a structured format;
- Withdrawal of consent — where we rely on consent.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, these rights are provided under the GDPR/UK GDPR. If you are in California, these rights are provided under the CCPA/CPRA. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
11. International transfers
Because the Service and its providers operate across borders, your data may be processed outside the country where you live. Where this involves transferring personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful basis recognized by applicable law.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will also notify active users where appropriate.
